Pressure of being like Christ?

So today in class we talked about the challenge and pressure of being told to be like Christ... I do not feel that that statement gives me pressure. I feel that it comforts me. I feel it is comforting because it is a compliment to me. In my mind I hear them saying "I have seen you be like Christ, keep going on and being like him. Stay strong and he will do wonders for you." I feel it more of a blessing than a challenge to be perfect. I also do not agree with the statment as being a chalenge because if it is a chalenge, that means that you usually do not act like Christ on your first impulse. When I hear this statment as a challenge I also think that means that Christians have an off switch... We don't have an off switch. it is more like a computer virus that we have accepted to download and no matter what we can't get rid of it, it is allways there. On that same note we are not perfect and I am not saying we can be. We as humans are not perfect, we can not be Jesus, that is why he came to the earth, because without him we have no hope for a better tomorrow, no hope for a better future, and no hope for a better world. But just because we are not perfect does not give us the right to have an off switch. We as Christians need to have the desire to be good people as a habit and not have to be good people out of a conscious decision. It should be just who we are. Kind of like how in sports you have the right form that you keep practicing and practicing untill you just do it and can concentrate on reacting to the gamre around you. In Christianity the game is the world around you. No matter what you do, whether it be solving world hunger or going to school, we should always be like Christ and not have an on/off switch.... Being like Christ is being helpful. I think it is helpful and not servant just because being helpful you do it because you want to. Being a servant you do it because you have to do it. But that is just my view on the words in the end I understand that when people say be a servant the mean the same thing that I do.
